Job Classification: Career Firefighter/ Paramedic

The North College Hill Fire Department is currently hiring for Career Firefighter/Paramedic. FireTEAM testing must be completed by the close date, May 7th, 2018.

Salary Information: Salary range $49,800 - $54,238

Department Overview: North College Hill is a small department within a very diverse community. You will work in the heart of the city with many experienced firefighters. North College Hill Fire Department provides modern up to date training and equipment for assisting in emergency response. Potential to promote and work with a diverse group of people in the firehouse as well as in the community.

Job Requirements

Age: 18 at time of appointment.

US Citizen: YES

High School Grad/GED: YES, at time of appointment.

Valid OHIO State Driver's License: YES, this department will accept ANY valid state Drivers License.

Ability to Read/Speak English: YES

Prior Experience:
Prefer 3-5 years as firefighter medic.


Necessary Certifications:

Ohio Firefighter 2 certification
Ohio Certified Paramedic

Specific Disqualifiers/Behaviors:
Felony, Criminal Activity Disqualifiers: Any Felony Conviction

Driving Disqualifiers: DUI/ more than 6 points on driving record within last five years

Drug Use Disqualifiers: Any applicant that has made use of a prohibited substance or abuse of a controlled substance may be grounds for disqualification.

Employment Disqualifiers: Any applicant suspended, reprimanded, or disciplined by previous or current employer within past five years for insubordination, unexcused absenteeism, tardiness, inefficiency or neglect of duty.

Financial Disqualifiers: Determined by background investigation
