Our friend and colleague, Doug Eikens, has passed away unexpectedly on
August 15, 2024

Dear North College Hill Community,

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I inform you of the death of our friend and colleague, Doug Eikens, who passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2024. 

The entire City of North College Hill team wishes to express our deepest condolences to Doug’s family and friends at this difficult time.

A life-long resident of NCH, Doug served the city for several years, in multiple positions.  Most recently, he was our city’s Code Enforcement Officer, CPR/AED trainer, and Fire Inspector. 

Doug was a well-liked member of the NCH family, who warmly greeted his co-workers every day with words of kindness, asking “How are you doing today?” – and he really wanted to know!

He will truly be missed by everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

CFIP offers up to $25,000 in federal grant money to qualifying businesses, which may be used to improve their façades and street appeal.

The NCH Comprehensive Planning team will present their 3rd (and final!) Community Workshop at the NCH Elementary School on May 11th.

May 11, 2023 - Presentation and Q&A Session - Workshop #3

On Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm, the Comprehensive Planning team will host their 3rd and final Community Workshop to share their "90% Draft" with the community, and answer any questions.
